Located near the centre of North Gower, North Gower-Marlborough is a public elementary school offering the regular English program from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5. Its attendance area covers all of Rideau outside the immediate vicinity of Manotick, including Burritts Rapids, Becketts Landing, Kars and Pierces Corners.

Built in 1969, North Gower-Marlborough Public School has been periodically upgraded to meet changing needs. The school is fully computer networked, with a fully automated Information Resource Centre, a computer lab and many classroom computers.  The school has earned recognition for its implementation of the Balanced Literacy program at all grade levels.  The spacious schoolyard is adjacent to farms and woods. North Gower-Marlborough P.S. enjoys active community partnerships.

On completion of Grade 5 at North Gower-Marlborough P.S., students are directed to Rideau Valley M.S. in Kars for Grades 6 though 8 in the regular English and Early French Immersion programs.  Students may  transfer into the Middle French Immersion program at Kars Public School when they enter Grade 4.  Students who are currently in Grade 5 at North Gower/Marlborough P.S. may also choose to enter the Late French Immersion program at Rideau Valley Middle School when they reach Grade 7; the Late French Immersion program is being phased out across the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, but this option is being kept open for those students who have already passed the opportunity for Middle French Immersion.
